I'm still amazed that so many could put their consciences aside and ignore their professional and moral duty to protect these girls. I trained as a social worker in Salford in the late nineties and I simply wouldn't have been able to.
Possibly because I only did one placement in a small children's home, run by a Christian organisation, because I didn't see it. That placement nearly broke me and I never worked as a social worker. I completed my nursing qualification and have always practiced as a nurse.
It's totally anathema to me to not advocate for my patients.
I sincerely hope all who were complicit lose their jobs, pensions and some prison time.

I don’t know how anyone can stand by and just look the other way whether children or animals.
Same but they actually said to us on day one, that 3 out of 10 applicatants to do the course did it to get close to vulnerable people.
